Prevention of  blackheads
  • Using face wash regularly containing salicylic acid helps to reduce the black heads.
  • Cleaning once or twice with facial pads containing salicylic and glycolic acids.
Treatments for Blackheads
  • Regular professional skin exfoliation helps to reduce black heads.
  • Mild cases of acne can be self-treated with over-the-counter topical (applied to the skin) creams typically with benzoyl peroxide.

Remedies for Blackheads

Some of the home remedies available for Blackheads are : -

  • Exfoliate your skin weekly with a sea salt scrub or oatmeal as an exfoliate or any other exfoliate (bath powder)
    to remove dead skin (use a scrub in the shower and exfoliate facial skin with a mild scrub made for the face).
  • Make a paste using water and radish seeds apply it on blackheads, allow it to dry then wash it off. They are safe and effective skin
    treatments. This home remedy is helpful in to get rid of blackheads.
  • Paste of (baadam) almond powder, (multani mitti) fuller’s earth, and glycerin soap are very effective in Blackheads removal.
Important tip:
Avoid harsh squeezing and picking of your blackheads. Excessive squeezing can damage the skin that surrounds the pores and can actually increase the size of the pore leading to more blackheads in the future which leads to ugly whiteheads.
